Hi, my name is Dave and I love racing. My first race-only car was a 120” ’32 Austin Bantam Roadster Econo Dragster with NHRA driven by my wife, Michele and myself. Then a 220”Super Comp. rear-engine rail. We ran those for 30 years.
I always wanted to road race- my original passion. At the time there were too many fatal and serious injuries happening. Michele rendered a strong NO. So I researched Drag Racing and their stats were better.
I took her to a race at Laguna Seca and asked to watch some “Spec Miata” guys for a session. Afterwards she responded, “Is this what we’re getting into next. It looks safe”. The rest is history.
After we moved to Oregon, I met Ed Pavone at ORP. After chatting I inquired about a transmission for my 2001 LS Miata. That’s when I was introduced to Will himself.
